it’s friday, march 4, & moon is in pisces, in the starspace called uttarabhadra. in the environment of pisces, we can feel into the oneness of being, into the interconnectedness of all that is. we can feel into being drops in the great cosmic ocean of consciousness. we can also feel like we’ve got one foot in this, temporal, reality & one foot in the other, ultimate, reality. we may desire to merge with all that is, but that desire may, however, take a wrong turn, we may turn to sex-drugs-food-alcohol to escape from rather than escape into, to drop out rather than drop in.
uttarabhadra is the counterpart to yesterday’s purvabhadra (see yesterday’s post for more). uttara is the yang to purva’s yin, the action in response to the receptivity. this asterism brings the lesson that once we receive the lightning strike of inspiration, we get to respond, we get to run with it, we get to get real. actually, altho i don’t love the word “have,” we have to—otherwise it’s like returning the most incredible gift in the world unopened. on a mundane level, how many times have you felt the flash of inspiration & ignored it, pooh-poohed it, thought, “yeah, no, i could never make that happen”? on a spiritual level, how many times have you gotten a glimpse of the truth of your existence & not been ready to embrace it? if not now, when?
it’s the second lunar day, the second phase of the waxing moon, which is related to creative acts & lord krishna, the all-attractive one, the one who represents our heart’s desire. so it’s a good day to manifest by connecting to your heart, to the divine, by connecting to your inner krishna & feeling how magnetic you are when you are heart-connected.
friday is ruled by venus, planet of love. everything in the universe is vibration vibrating at different frequencies, from low to high, dense to ephemeral—a rock vibrates at a different frequency than a fish. than a flower than a cloud. love is said to be the highest frequency, & when we vibrate at that frequency, we create a more loving world. as daniel pinchbeck has said, “the universe only pretends to be made of matter. secretly, it is made of love.”
