it’s thursday, march 4, & moon is in scorpio, moving from the starspace called vishakha later this morning to anuradha. scorpio is where we get to meet & confront our shadow, all our wounded voices, all our stories about how we’re not enough, don’t matter, aren’t lovable, about how others are victimizing us. but mars, who rules scorpio, gives us the courage to unpack those stories, those delusions. our shadow is where our power lies: if we can understand why our unconscious has concocted those stories, what they’re trying to protect us from, we neuter their ability to keep us small & free up energy for a much better purpose—for living as fully & authentically & powerfully ourselves as we can. no darkness, no light.
“the darker the night, the brighter the stars.” — dostoevsky
vishakha eases the transition from libra into scorpio—sometimes our relationships (libra) take us to a dark place (scorpio), make us, often irrationally, question them. anuradha invites us to manage our psychological & emotional fears (our shadow), to trust our knowing what is truly true by trusting our intuition, our connection to the divine, to source; if we can, true devotion, like radha’s to krishna, her love for god, is possible. love is a much higher vibration than fear & a much more empowering frequency in which to live. imagine what kind of world we could create if we were all powered by love not fear!
it’s the seventh phase of the waning moon, ruled by lord indra, bringing the lesson that pride goeth before the fall. indra was a big vedic god who got too big for his britches. there’s nothing wrong with feeling our power, but we have to wield it carefully, mindfully, intentionally, as an expression of love not ego.
thursday is ruled by jupiter, who gives us hope, allows us to zoom out to get some perspective, see the bigger picture, by connecting us to teachers & teachings, practices that allow us to source wisdom. ultimately we source that within, but we reach out to activate our inner knowing, read scripture & sit at the feet of gurus, until we trust ourselves to really know. thursday is always a good day to exercise our wisdom muscle.
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a kind of lunar weather report. it is my hope that the daily bliss can help you align with the day’s cosmic energy & find a little more bliss; that it inspires you to enlighten up a little more each day.
