it’s thursday, march 9, & moon is in virgo, in the starspace called hasta. in the environment of virgo, we can get super nitpicky about our life (& even the people in it). being nitpicky can be good, b/c it helps us clean up our act, keep things organized, under control; super nitpicky maybe not so much, b/c it can make us obsessive to the point of not being able to let anything go until it’s absolutely perfect. it’s awesome to have high standards, & it’s also awesome that moon’s transit through virgo (as well as all signs) is only two & a half days, which gives us an opportunity to do our best in that time & let god do the rest.
hasta means “hand” & is ruled by savitur, the creative & transformative form of surya, the sun. this asterism gives us the ability to succeed in our goals, to have them placed in our hands or to use our hands skillfully to achieve them. & let’s not forget that our hands are an extension of our heart & our heart is what connects us to the divine & allows us to aim high.
it’s the second lunar day until about 8:30 a.m. mountain time, then the third, so we’re shifting from acts of creation that sustain & cozy-up our lives to being flexible when our actions perhaps don’t produce the results we expected, &, i mean, how often do they … really? how often does everything go exactly according to plan? today is a good day to practice going with the flow, being able to shift gears, recalibrate, as siri does when you decide not to turn left just b/c she tells you to.
thursday is ruled by jupiter, who gives us hope & faith & is still strong as strong in his home sign of dreamy pisces.
“water your dreams with fear, & they will wilt; with doubt, & they will wither; with hope, & they will grow; with faith, & they will flourish.”—matshona dhliwayo
with venus hanging out with jupiter for two more days, we can ask ourselves what lessons the two gurus (yes, both planets are gurus) have been teaching us & how those lessons are informing our faith when it comes to spiritual matters, matters of the heart & our artistic/creative aspirations.
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a sort of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss. may it inspire you to enlighten up a little more each day.
