it’s monday, march 8, & moon is in sagittarius the first half of the day, then in capricorn, in the starspace called uttarashadha. under the sway of sagittarius, where moon has been all weekend, we dip into the well of inspiration, remind ourselves of our greatest purpose; under the sway of capricorn, we begin to take practical action steps to bring that inspiration down to earth. we dream the dream in sagittarius, but live the reality in capricorn. as a dear friend likes to say, “100% is possible 100% of the time,” but we can’t just believe it, we have to do something about it, make an effort, commit to the dream.

uttarashadha, the starry bridge that transforms the vibration of sagittarius into that of capricorn, means “later invincible one” or “final victory.” it is ruled by the vishvadevas, the ten universal gods/principles: truth, time, goodness, desire, skill, willpower, ancestors, brightness, firmness, and peak. the lesson this asterism brings is that if we commit to these principles, honor these gods, embody their wisdom, allow ourselves to be guided by them, we will be victorious, we will manifest our dream—it cannot be otherwise. so we get to ask ourselves today how we are doing, whether we are as good as we can be, whether we are using our time wisely, whether we are as committed as we can be, etc.

it’s the eleventh phase of the waning moon, which is connected to spiritual practices designed to steady the mind, facilitate more present-moment awareness. whether we practice meditation or asana or pranayama or chi gong or tai chi—or all of the above—the practice is the key. by practicing what we practice every day, deepening the grooves of the ritual over time, we feel more peaceful in peaceful times &, perhaps more importantly, in chaotic times as well.

monday is ruled by the moon, who is getting a stern gaze from mars, so rather than feeling more heart-connected to the ones in our lives today we may be feeling a little cranky, critical, disconnected. take a deep breath, or several deep breaths to reconnect to your heart energy.

& that’s your daily bliss! which is a kind of lunar weather report. it is my hope that the daily bliss can help you align with the day’s cosmic energy & find a little more bliss; that it inspires you to enlighten up a little more each day.
