it’s tuesday, may 17, & moon is in scorpio, in the starspace called jyeshtha. in the environment of scorpio we feel vulnerable as a result of the intimate relationships we explored & deepened & finessed in libra. there is no intimacy, the basis of relationship, without vulnerability, & we don’t need brené brown to tell us that, right? creating juicy, satisfying, nourishing relationships can be a sort of catch-22: the more we reveal of ourselves, the more intimacy we create, but also more opportunities to feel judged or shamed (usually by ourselves, right?). scorpio is where our real & imagined fears live, & it can be challenging to figure out what’s real & what’s not, which fears are based in reality & which in our vivid imagination. it is also where we are afraid to face our fears, like revealing our true selves, but if we’re afraid to do so for fear that our people will judge us, do they really belong in our lives? everything we truly want is on the other side of fear.
jyeshtha means “eldest” & is ruled by indra, considered an elder among the gods, & its symbol is a round talisman, which, in ancient civilizations & legends represented divine protection & which is why kings of yore wore huge round earrings. just as kings are/were supposed to be protectors of their realm & its inhabitants, so we all—whether we are elders or not, whether we are the eldest of our siblings or not—have a responsibility for those in our care, which, let’s face it, is everyone we know or come into contact with, which is, really, the entire planet, right? let’s put on our biggest, blingiest earrings today & feel into our inner elder/queen/king/quing & own the power & responsibility that role entails.
it’s the second lunar day, the second phase of the waning moon, which is related to krishna as well as money & what we value, so it’s a good day to create something of value, to invest wisely & with a sense of devotion.
tuesday is ruled by mars, who gives us the courage to boldly go where we’ve never gone before, to take the next step without actually knowing where we’re going. i mean, do we ever really know where we’re going, where our journey is leading? isn’t it all always just about the journey?
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a kind of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss. may it inspire you to enlighten up a little more each day.
