it’s wednesday, may 25, & moon is in pisces, moving from the starspace called uttarabhadrapada into revati late morning mountain time. in the environment of pisces we realize that we are, that we all are, part of something vast & mysterious & that that mystery is what informs our connection, that we are both bigger & smaller than we imagined, that we are not only the drop in the ocean but the ocean in the drop.

“we have a genetic kinship with all life on earth, an atomic kinship to all matter in the cosmos. so when i look at the universe, i feel large, b/c i remind myself that not only are we living in this universe, the universe is living within us.”—neil degrasse tyson

revati (see yesterday’s post for uttarabhadrapada) is the last asterism in the last sign of the zodiac & is ruled by pushan, the cosmic shepherd, & so brings a lesson about completing a cycle, being led gently & lovingly home, guided on our path toward true abundance (the gnosis of who we really are), lest we get lost. it’s a good day to reflect on where we are & how we got there, on who/what has benevolently had our back & guided us this far.

it’s the eleventh lunar day, the eleventh phase of the waning moon, which is the traditional day for fasting in certain hindu circles. for those of us not part of those circles, we can think of it as a good day to reintegrate, or deepen, any spiritual practice, especially meditation, which is pretty much a foundational practice regardless of what you do or don’t believe. b/c as manorama says, “the steady practice of meditation will challenge your understanding of what you are,” will ultimately release us from the bondage of ego & set us free, & who doesn’t want to be free?!

wednesday is ruled by mercury, who is the part of us that wants to share what we think with others, wants to speak our truth to them, ideally gently—b/c not everyone cares what we think, not everyone can receive our truth. if they don’t, they’re probably not our people. & while realizing that may feel like a loss, which it certainly is, the greater truth is that those losses bring us into greater alignment with ourselves. hey, no one said earth school was easy!

& that’s your daily bliss! which is a kind of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss. may it inspire you to enlighten up a little more each day.
