it’s thursday, may 26, & moon is in pisces, in the starspace called revati until early afternoon mountain time, when it leaps into aries & into the starspace called ashwini. i say “leap” b/c there is no nakshatra, no starry bridge, connecting pisces & aries, allowing the moon to safely traverse from one sign to the other. moon has to basically do an evil knievel to get from the one to the other. while pisces vibrates with the frequency of our transcendent nature, aries vibrates with the frequency of our unique embodied identity; pisces with the greater beyond, aries with the physical reality of the now; pisces with reflection, aries with action. they couldn’t be more different—don’t get psychic whiplash today! & know that while moon, which is our consciousness, our state of mind, transits over the border between these two signs, we may feel a little destabilized as well & so it’s good to notice & wait it out.
revati (see yesterday’s post for more) is like the dream state, ashwini like waking up from the dream. revati, the last asterism of the last sign of the zodiac, finishes a cycle, just as death does; ashwini, the first asterism of the first sign of the zodiac, begins one, just as birth does. revati brings a lesson about what we are completing, ashwini about what we are beginning. we are invited this afternoon to wake up from the dream & begin again, to charge ahead like the thoroughbreds we are (ashwini is ruled by the ashwini kumara, the two cosmic horsemen). what do you want to start? go for it!
it’s the twelfth lunar day, the twelfth phase of the waning moon, which is associated with the sun, who gives us clarity of vision. it’s a good day to get clear on your vision & go for it, make headway, hit the ground running (or, um, galloping), feel the wind muss with your perfectly coiffed mane, send your tail sailing out behind you.
thursday is ruled by jupiter, planet of our beliefs. beliefs are neither bad nor good, they just are. mass murderers have beliefs just as do advocates for stringent gun laws. & even if we have the belief, say, that everyone should be treated equally, that doesn’t mean we embody our beliefs, act in alignment with them. beliefs don’t make us good (or bad) people—our behavior does.
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a kind of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss. may it inspire you to enlighten up a little more each day.
