it’s monday, may 27, & moon is in capricorn, in the starspace called uttarashadha. capricorn vibrates with the frequency of seriousness. following on the heels of inspirational sagittarius, where moon was all weekend, it’s where we get serious about that inspiration, do something about it, take positive action steps, bring it down to earth from the ether & make it real, tangible. what in sag may seem amorphous/undifferentiated/amoebic becomes a differentiated, recognizable multicellular entity. how did you experience inspiration over the weekend? me, i had an “aha! that rather than put flower seeds in the ground, where, when they sprout, they will be, to me at least, undifferentiated from weeds, to plant them in training pots, then transplant them when they are recognizable. that’s what’s on my—literally earthy!—agenda today. what about you?
uttarashadha, the star of ultimate victory, is also related to seedlings. & it takes up cosmic space in both sagittarius & capricorn, reinforcing the interdependence of inspiration & practicality. this asterism gives us the power to achieve our goal, & gives us ten (!) deities to support us in doing so. known as the vishvadevas, or universal gods, they are: “vasu” (goodness), “satya” (truth), “kratu” (willpower), “daksha” (skill), “kala” (time), “kama” (desire), “dhriti” (firmness, forbearance), “kuru” (ancestors) ,”pururavas” (abundance, brightness), & “madravas” (peak joy). it’s a good day to call on whatever help you need—more willpower, belief in the abundance available to you, joy?—& plant the seed that you want to see grow & thrive, to initiate activities or plans, lay foundations, that you want to endure.
it’s the fifth lunar day (tithi), the fifth phase of the waning moon, which brings in creative & inspired energy—just what we need today, no? yes! it can also bring so much creative inspiration that we lose sight of our main goal. which is where laxmi comes in: she arose from the milk ocean single-pointedly focused on her goal: seeing vishnu, she immediately knew he was the one for her, & still dripping wet she unabashedly put a garland of flowers around his neck, claiming him as hers. stay focused & claim what’s yours today!
monday is infused with the energy of the moon, who wants to feel connected with one & all. whom can you reach out & touch, connect with, today? how can you create more uni-versity, heal diversity?
