it’s monday, may 29, & moon is in virgo, in the starspace called uttaraphalguni. virgo comes on the heels of leo & vibrates with the frequency of focusing on the deets of our kingdom, reminds us that even kings/queens/quings have to scrub floors, that nothing is beneath them; for a good sovereign would never delegate duties they’d be unwilling to do themself. we are invited to take off our sexy selfie-perfect regalia & take care of the unsexy chores that keep our realms running smoothly. i’ve got a to-do list that looks like a royal decree—what about you?
uttaraphalguni is ruled by aryaman, the solar deity who presides over patronage, kindness & favors. he wants all of our agreements/contracts/commitments to be made on the friendliest terms, which is why he is often invoked with mitra, the solar deity related to friendship. ram & sita were said to have been married under this star, but first he had to prove himself worthy, meet her terms & conditions, which he did in spades. this asterism grants us prosperity as long as we meet the other where they’re at & they meet us where we’re at, fulfill each other’s demands. which may not be as easy as it sounds, but no effort, no gain.
it’s the tenth lunar day, the tenth phase of the waxing moon, which is connected to doing our dharma, fulfilling our soul purpose. “the individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe,” wrote friedrich nietzsche. “if you try it, you will be lonely often, & sometimes frightened. but no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself.” yes, fulfilling our dharma is a privilege, & its our responsibility to follow our own path, not a path dictated by the expectations of others.
monday is ruled by the moon, who gives us the power of connecting, which is a healing balm for ourselves & others. if you don’t believe me, reach out & touch someone today—a stranger will do!—& feel how good it feels. & if you need more proof, may i suggest watching “a man called otto,” starring tom hanks, especially if you need a good cry? as one citizen reviewer put it, “i would be perfectly happy watching tom hanks tie his shoelaces.” i couldn’t agree more—any excuse to be in the (virtual) presence of tom is a healing balm in & of itself as far as i’m concerned.
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a sort of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss.
