it’s tuesday, may 31, & moon moves from taurus into gemini around noon mountain time while being supported & transported through that transit by the starspace called mrigashira. taurus vibrates with the frequency of our creature comforts, of sinking into that overstuffed couch with a good novel & chocolates, maybe our feet in our special person’s lap; gemini with the frequency of “enough sitting around & being cozy, it’s time to get curious, shake things up, explore something new & talk about it.” under the sway of taurus, we stop & smell the roses of our life, or, um, slowly chew our cud, like the cow/bull who represents this sign. but slow & steady gets boring after a while, can make us feel stagnant, so thank goodness for gemini, where we are motivated to get moving again. do notice the shift, whether you feel more stimulated this afternoon & how that manifests.

mrigashira is the wandering deer, & deer, like cows/bulls, are ruminants—they, too, chew their cud, have four stomachs. they, too, want to enjoy each & every tender green morsel. but unlike cows, they are wont to venture farther than the grass at their feet & they move faster, are lighter of foot, are more curious, more adventurous. they will seek their morsels high & low, hither & yon, & are always seeking the next best morsel. this asterism brings a lesson about our continuous search for that morsel that’s going to satisfy, cure our craving once & for all, end our search. of course our search doesn’t end until we realize that, as saint francis & other sages have told us, what we are searching for is what is searching. sigh.

it’s the first lunar day, the first phase of the waxing moon, which supports creating our life anew, beginning to embody & manifest the intentions we have set for this lunar cycle.

tuesday is ruled by mars, the part of us that can get angry. anger is a conflict in our own mind that manifests as a power struggle with others: instead of getting to the root cause of our anger, which lies buried within us, we try to control ourselves, by perhaps suppressing our anger, or other people, which usually just increases our anger or frustration, b/c no one wants to be controlled. so we get to ask ourselves what in us are we trying to ignore when we get angry.

& that’s your daily bliss! which is a kind of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss. may it inspire you to enlighten up a little more each day.
