bharani comes from the sanskrit root “bhri” (भृ), which means to bear, maintain, support, nourish. perhaps not surprisingly, the symbol of this asterism is the yoni, the female reproductive organ, which bears children & represents the essence of feminine energy. bharani is pure shakti & is the special nakshatra of the goddesses, who personify fertility, harmony, & growth & for whom sexuality is an expression of divinity.
yama is the deity who rules this nakshatra. yeah, yama is the god of death, of restraint, who reminds us of the consequences of our actions, of our mortality: hello, karma!
whatever we did yesterday (or do this morning) is what we have to bear later today when moon transits bharani. if you made a positive step forward, no problem. if you made a false start, no problem either, for you will realize the folly of your ways & rectify them. in any event, there is still a lot of creative potential today, especially because venus is hanging out in aries now, inspiring us with more passion—although that passion may be turned toward others. nothing wrong with that, especially if the desire urges us to be in harmonious relationship!
it’s the 13th phase (tithi) of the waning moon (new moon coming monday!), which, hey, is related to desire & happiness—good day to go on a date, with yourself or someone else!
& that’s your daily bliss—friday is venus’ day, so, yeah, even more encouragement for you to indulge in venus things, which are all the good things this material existence has to offer, including food & people & nature & art.
