it’s monday, may 3, & moon is in capricorn, in the starspace called shravana. capricorn vibrates with the frequency of commitment. we find hope & inspiration in sagittarius, reassess who we are & what we mean to be & whether how we are being is aligning with that vision, & in capricorn we transform that inspiration into reality—we are ready to get practical, take positive action steps & persevere for however long it takes to manifest, become, that vision.

the lesson of shravana is to listen, & listen deeply. ruled by vishnu, who pervades all levels of existence, this asterism invites us to dive way beneath the surface level, to uncover truths or meaning buried in our deepest layers. one way to do that, after getting very quiet, very still, is to ask ourselves questions, like, for example, if we are experiencing a fraught situation: what does this situation remind me of? how have i reacted in the past & how has that reaction benefited me? (spoiler alert: the “benefit” may be something like, “it allowed me to avoid getting hurt” or “it kept me small, & therefore comfortable” or “it allowed me to not risk hurting someone else’s feelings & therefore dealing with the repercussions.”)

it’s the eighth phase of the waning moon, which supports creativity through the three gunas & five elements. quick guna tutorial: sattva = harmony, calmness, a sense of order; rajas = activity, interaction, heat & changeability, maybe even turbulence; tamas = lethargy, heaviness, detachment. altho the yogic goal is all sattva all the time, that’s not realistic, especially as long as we’re embodied. without rajas we wouldn’t get out of bed in the morning (even if we’re feeling tamasic until we have our cup o’ joe). without tamas we wouldn’t fall asleep at night (so we can get up & have that delicious cup o’ joe). which guna could you use more of today, or right this moment?

monday is infused with moon energy, which means it’s a good day to feel into your feeling nature, connect to your heart wisdom & connect with others heart to heart. whose heart do you feel hard? how can you send more heart energy from yours to theirs so they feel you too?

& that’s your daily bliss! which is a kind of lunar weather report. it is my hope that the daily bliss can help you align with the day’s cosmic energy & find a little more bliss; that it inspires you to enlighten up a little more each day.
