it’s monday, may 4, & moon is in the starspace called hasta, which occupies a sky-slice of virgo. virgo is the sixth sign of the natural zodiac & as such reflects qualities of the natural sixth house of the zodiac, which concerns the safekeeping of our life. its area of influence includes the mundane maintenance tasks of life, illness, pets & enemies (anyone or -thing that thwarts us). virgo is good with household chores & balancing the checkbook to keep us tidy & in the black & taking our temperature & making us soup when we’re sick.
hasta means “hand,” & i’ve found that many people with their ascendant or ruling planet or moon in this asterism tend to be healers, especially massage therapists & reiki practitioners, b/c their hands do the safekeeping, are the medium for medicine. also artists, who heal the world with the art they create with their hands. hasta is also related to fate, b/c our destiny is said to be written in the lines of our hands. hmmm, you can ask my artsy virgo friend who reads palms! this asterism reminds us that we can manifest whatever we want—we can literally make it or make it happen with our hands. we just have to remember that what we produce comes from god, that we are just the vehicles. so it’s always helpful to keep our hands open to receiving from the divine & to offer with open hands.
it’s the twelfth phase of the waxing moon, which is connected to the sun. the sun gives us vision & clarity & is our consistent source of energy—sun is always shining, always burning bright, sending out its rays, even when we’re sleeping. tap into your inner sun to take at least one action step based on your clarity of purpose today.
