it’s friday, may 5, & moon is in libra, in the starspace called swati, but will be full as full & eclipsed to boot around noon mountain time in the starspace called vishakha.

the full moon in libra, sign of relationship harmony/balance/compromise, is opposite the sun in aries, sign of individuality/personal power. aries is where this lunar cycle & eclipse cycle began two weeks ago, with the new moon. given that aries is all about me me me, that’s where your focus probably was or where you thought others were focussed; you might not have been playing fair or thought others weren’t.

who really was guilty of being overly self-centered?!

eclipses are activated by the lunar nodes, rahu & ketu, whose axis (they are always opposite each other, just as sun & moon are during a full moon) is related to fate/destiny. the lunar eclipse is being activated at the ketu end of the axis. ketu taps us into the liminal, the otherworldly, the past, karma, liberation.

eclipses bring what’s hidden into the light—secrets, covert agendas, our shadow—& ask us to address it, resolve it, make peace with it. once, during a discussion about karma, my lama said, if you are still thinking about “it,” then your work with “it” is not over.

what has been arising—in your dreams or in your waking life—about relationship? if, for example, you are still thinking about him/her/them, you’ve still got karma with that person.

the asterism vishakha represents a forked road, two directions, is ruled by indra & agni, the king & the priest. are you going to take the material road & cling to what was? or are you going to take the spiritual road, appreciate the person or experience for what was & release it? of course, it’s never one & done—it’s a process. but inevitably & eventually, it will be done!

today being ruled by venus, who also rules libra, double emphasizes the importance of love & connection in our lives, doubly asks us to ask ourselves what we are bringing to our relationships & what they are bringing to us, how we are showing up & how others are.

sooooo, our moon work for the waning lunar cycle involves healing our relationship karma, whether that means releasing someone or releasing our expectations/agendas for relationship so we can show up fully present, as we expect others to. it’s time to hold ourselves & others accountable.

& that’s your daily bliss! which is a sort of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss.
