it’s monday, april 7, & moon is in cancer, in the starspace called ashlesha. cancer vibrates with the frequency of unconditionally loving, maternal energy. there is a buddhist practice (link here) in which, b/c we have lived sooooo many lifetimes & have no idea who we’ve been, who birthed us, we imagine that every being has been our mother. we start with our own mother in this lifetime, expressing gratitude that she brought us into this world, & compassion for her b/c she did the best job she could with the resources she had. then we move onto someone else we love, then someone we just like, then a random stranger, finally to someone we have very negative feelings toward (that can be a hard one to work with!), each time expressing gratitude & compassion toward them. yessss, we realize, the world is made up of people doing the best they can, including us—compassion greases the wheels of life, makes the world go round without squeaking.
ashlesha brings a lesson about the limiting beliefs & negative thoughts (about ourselves & others) that boa-constrictor us, create resistance rather than freedom, keep us in the dark rather than living fully in the light & being the light.
it’s, well, it’ll pretty much be the eleventh lunar day (tithi), the eleventh phase of the waxing moon, by the time you read this. the eleventh tithi gears us toward spiritual practices, & doesn’t support our worldly existence, so we might as well turn inward, right? meditation is one of the most potent spiritual practices we can do for ourselves, & others. so why not try the mother meditation, just b/c?
monday is ruled by the moon, as is cancer, so it’s a double-good day to tap into our maternal qualities, perhaps by turning the mother meditation upside down & imagining, not that everyone has been our mother, but that we’ve have been everyone’s mother!
bonus trax: venus & saturn are conjunct (at the same degree of pisces, sitting on top of each other), so give yourself relationship space, breathe, don’t take things too personally or make rash decisions. & mercury is revving his engine to move forward after being retrograde for some time, bringing a shift in opinions/perceptions, but we are still at a standstill, in a state of confusion, so, again, be in the pause.
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a sort of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss.
