it’s monday, june 16, & moon is in aquarius, in the starspace called dhaniṣṭhā until early afternoon, then śatabhiṣak. aquarius vibrates with the frequency of our networks, reminding us that we operate within one, that we are not an island, that we share this planet, are one among many.
aquarius is where we desire to expand our reach, our influence, take responsibility for improving the social architectures that are a container for our life on earth.
speaking of desire, materialistic rahu is in aquarius & ain’t going anywhere for a while. rahu is desire & unconventionality incarnate. he is also confusion & delusion. his highest expression is the desire to improve material conditions to benefit the world with an outside-the-box M.O. think rosa parks refusing to sit in the back of the bus, not trying to assassinate political figures of the opposite party (whether state representatives or a presidential candidate). think diplomacy not war, not bombing civilians. think the greater good of all, not of one (person or country); selfless not selfish.
in case you haven’t noticed, there is a lot of fire in the air right now & fiery mars is in fiery leo opposite airy aquarius & airy rahu. you know what happens when fire meets air, right?
may we find high-minded unconventional means (we can’t solve problems with the same thinking that created them), not low-minded delusional ones, so we can improve the world around us … & keep cool heads!
dhaniṣṭhā is the star of wealth & brings a lesson about the richness of our lives, about what makes us feel abundant on any/all levels—spiritual, material, emotional, intellectual. how do you spell a-b-u-n-d-a-n-c-e? śatabhiṣak means “100 healers/medicines” & is the star of healing, it brings a lesson about investigating as many modalities as necessary, conventional or not, in order to heal what ails, to, well, think outside the box (this asterism is, after all, ruled by rahu).
it’s the sixth lunar day (tithi), the sixth phase of the waning moon, which brings more fire into the mix, as it is ruled by agni & has the quality of rati (passion). agni supports us in burning away negativities, like doubts, so the fire of our passion burns hotly as confidence. how might confidence serve you today?
monday is ruled by the moon, who, jeesh, just wants everyone to get along—why is that so hard?
