No Rain, No Flowers

it’s thursday, february 26, moon is in gemini, in the starspace called ārdrā, it’s the tenth phase of the waxing moon until midday then the eleventh, & it’s jupiter’s day.

gemini vibrates with the frequency of cogitation, communication & commerce. ruled by thinky, playful, social mercury, who can swing any which way, he’s (they’re?) the switzerland of planets, neutral, even sexually. neither feminine nor masculine, mercury worried about finding the perfect partner, until meeting ila, who changed sex every month, & was perhaps the first trans person in historyherstory.

being flexible can be a good thing, so can having lots of choices. but/& having too many choices can make it challenging to make a choice.

with mercury now retrograde for his first three-week spell of the year, we might be overthinking our choices, but hopefully so we can make the right choice eventually. this is a great reboot for my gemini & virgo friends!

ārdrā is ruled by rudra, who represents thunder & is a fierce aspect of shiva. its superpower is the ability to reach our goal. huh? well, thunder accompanies storms, which clear the air so we can see more clearly, no? shiva is the lord of destruction, but destruction of what no longer serves, of the detritus in our lives, all those branches that come down in a hurricane or blizzard.

the tenth lunar day (tithi), the tenth phase of the waxing moon, is associated with our dharma, what we’re here to do/be, how we show up in the world, with our public face; the eleventh lunar day with how we show up spiritually, with our private face, the one only god sees., with prayer & contemplation.

thursday is ruled by jupiter, who is our moral authority. in my bonus july 21 post i talked about the conjunctions of saturn & jupiter setting a global tone for hundreds of years. the last saturn-jupiter conjunction occurred in capricorn, in 2020, where saturn (business) is powerful & jupiter (ethics) is the opposite. note to self:  this theme of corporate/billionaire-class might over right has been ongoing for a century & it’s far from done with us, which means we just get to strengthen our individual moral compasses.
