it’s thursday, november 11, & moon moves from capricorn this morning into aquarius this afternoon while being supported & transported by the starspace called dhanishtha. under the sway of capricorn we want to take practical action steps in terms of our own personal lives, while under the sway of aquarius we want to extend our sense of responsibility to the world around us—whether our neighborhood, our town or city, our country, or the whole world. we can’t all be greta thunbergs—or can we?!—but we can all make a difference. small or big, every difference matters.
dhanishtha means “completely” (ishtha) “wealthy” (dhan) & is ruled by the eight vasudevas, sources of illumination (vasu) & prosperity. this asterism supports creativity (i.e., manifestation, wealth) & brings the lesson that while wealth & abundance can be manifested through & sourced in material things—& that there’s nothing wrong with that—true, complete wealth, according to the ancient texts, means to be abundant in good character, thoughts & actions. can you feel into your goodness today & how it is a source of richness, how it creates wealth, the only wealth that matters (see below!), for yourself & others?
it’s the eighth lunar day, the eighth phase of the waxing moon, which likewise supports creativity, creativity based on what we value. so we get to double down on what we are manifesting, what we have manifested, & whether that really aligns with what we value. if we value money & have oodles in the bank, great. but if, say, we value art & never paint or draw or collage, or whatever our medium is, then not so much, right?
thursday is owned by jupiter, who infuses the day with his sattvic essence, connecting us to our sattvic essence, to seeing the goodness in ourselves & others, to being good, being our goodest, our best, selves.

jupiter is the guru, which is a principle but can definitely be a person—it’s whatever or whoever inspires goodness in us, whatever or whoever uplevels our evolution. anyone or anything (like an event or situation) can do that if we’re receptive, if we want to evolve, if we want to, think we can, be better. &, dare i say, we can always be/do better!
