daily blissit’s wednesday, november 13, & moon is in the starspace called rohini, which is in taurus, moon’s happy place. the moon is our mind, our consciousness, so when moon is happy, feels grounded, as it does in earthy taurus, our mind is settled, a sense of peace reigns within. taurus otherwise makes us feel cozy & content. taurus reminds me of lounging on an overstuffed couch after a happily exhausting day of skiing, a riveting novel in hand, a fire burning near & snow falling outside. what does cozy & content feel like, look like, to you?

rohini is ruled by brahma, the lord of all creation, who was married to saraswati, the goddess of art & music & knowledge. not only was brahma married to her, but he had to create her first in order to marry her, so she is not only his wife but also technically his daughter. (sorry, not going to address that twistedness!) & not only did he create the universe & saraswati, but he had to create himself in order to get the whole ball rolling. i can’t do that math, but the point is that the shakti of this nakshatra is awe-full crazy creative.

the reverend michael beckwith has said, “don’t look for your dreams to come true; look to become true to your dreams.” what do you dream of creating? as brahma had to do, we have to create not only ourselves, but we have to create the world we want to see as well. what are you waiting for?!

it’s the second phase of the waning moon, which, hey, is related to krishna, who just happened to have been born under the star of rohini! which means even more creative energy if you can tap into your connection to the divine: ask the divine, “what would you have me do? what would you have me create?”
