it’s friday, november 19, & moon is in taurus, in the starspace called krittika, which is where the lunar eclipse happened a few hours ago (yessss, i’m an early riser!). taurus vibrates with the frequency of happiness. the highest frequency of happiness is being happy for no reason, i.e., experiencing pure contentment, santosha, the state of bliss, not needing anything. the sun opposite the moon, in scorpio, may be bringing our fears & paranoias to light (bringing what’s hidden to light is the nature of the eclipse too!), making us think we’re not enough, need someone or something else to provide our happiness. that’s just illusion, maya, messing with our heads. let’s get quiet & feel into & celebrate the true nature of our existence, which is, yes, bliss. we are our own happy-makers!
krittika (see yesterday’s post for more) is the cutter (krit means “to cut”) & is ruled by agni, the god of fire. this asterism brings the lesson of cutting (or burning) through illusion to get to what is real. what wounded stories might be swirling in your head & heart, creating a false narrative & thus depriving you of santosha? who in your life might not be supporting your highest expression of self, which is the experience of bliss? sharpen your knife or get out your matches!
it’s the first lunar day, the first phase of the waning moon, & especially given the intense eclipse energy (what, you aren’t feeling it?!), it’s a good day to process & integrate, feel into where in your life peace & contentment get to be more visible. clue: whichever house taurus represents in your chart, that’s where!
venus, who rules, friday, as well as taurus, is the planet of our earthly delights, of bhoga, pleasure, which is experienced through our senses. what lights your ears, eyes, mouth, etc. up: a sublime piece of music? the touch of someone’s lips on yours? chocolate melting in your mouth? right now i’m in sedona & my eyes (& heart!) are being lit up by the red rock buttes cradling me like a sacred & otherworldly container & i plan to have my taste buds lit up by the artisanal vegan (two words you don’t usually see juxtaposed!) chocolate at synergy, & heck, i might even grab an herbal elixir there, cause why not?
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a kind of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss. may it inspire you to enlighten up a little more each day.
