it’s monday, november 21, & moon is in libra, in the starspace called chitra. after a virgo weekend of paying attention to the details of our life, cleaning & organizing, reestablishing healthy routines, we’re, like, enough, it’s time to get out again, enjoy our people, as libra vibrates with the frequency of relationships, & we are at our core relational beings, social beings. even the most reclusive of us only knows themselves by being in relation with others, for it is the people in our lives who reflect us back to ourselves, enable us to see our essential self, who we be. “a true partner or friend is one who encourages you to look deep inside yourself for the beauty & love you’ve been seeking,” said thich nhat hanh. do the people in your life do that for you or do they just want something from you? libra wants our relationships—whether romantic, business, platonic or familial—to be mutually beneficial, truly reciprocal.
chitra means “glittering,” “brilliant,” “bright,” “artful,” like the glittering brilliance & beauty of a gemstone, & is ruled by the deity tvashtar (aka vishvakarma), the divine architect. just as the brilliance of gemstones is revealed only after thousands of years of intense heat & pressure, tvashtar worked his magic in secret, astounding people with creations that seemed to come out of nowhere & nothing. this asterism brings a lesson about our greatest creation, ourselves, & how we, too, are fully revealed only after enduring the intense heat & pressure of time.
it’s the thirteenth lunar day, the thirteenth phase of the waning moon, which is ruled by kamadeva, the hindu cupid, who perfumes our day with the scent of venus, who also rules libra—that should give you a good idea about what kind of activities are supported today: delighting in what delights & sharing that delight with others!
monday is owned by the moon, which connects us to our heart. in sanskrit the word for heart is “hridaya,” which has the connotation of heart-mind, as in the organ of true introspection, true knowing. you know the expression “i just knew it in my heart”? moon is the part of us that knows what we know b/c we feel it. do you trust your heart-knowing? what do you know in your heart to be true?
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a sort of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss. may it inspire you to enlighten up a little more each day.
