it’s wednesday, november 23, & moon is in scorpio, in the starspace called vishakha until about 9 a.m. mountain time, then in anuradha, where we will have the new moon. coming on the heels of relational libra, scorpio vibrates with the frequency of the emotional & psychological fears that arise from being in relationship—i mean, what is scarier than, what makes you feel more vulnerable than, allowing yourself to be truly seen by another? i know! others bring our big T & little t traumas to the surface. others trigger us. isn’t it? the gift of scorpio comes when we have the awareness & curiosity to face our fears & paranoias, even share them with the other, & thus disarm the fear-monger within, the one who would shame or judge us. it’s like turning a flashlight on that bogeyman under your bed & discovering it’s just a harmless sock that didn’t make it into the laundry! phew!
anuradha (see yesterday’s post for vishakha) can be translated as “following in the footsteps of radha” & is ruled by mitra, the divine friend, the one who always has our back, & reminds us of the power of devotion—for who was a more devoted friend than radha to krishna?
the new moon is called amavasya, which means “dwelling together,” as in the sun & moon dwelling together, which is what creates the new moon. sun & moon represent the divine masculine & divine feminine, & we all know what happens when those two get together, right? a seed is planted. with mercury & venus also dwelling together with sun & moon in scorpio, & jupiter going direct & aspecting the whole planetary gathering, we should feel well resourced to initiate our moon work for the next lunar cycle.
mercury gives us the ability to use our discriminating intelligence creatively, venus the desire for happiness with others, jupiter brings optimism. mitra & radha remind us to get out of our heads & into our hearts. radha says, you are creating problems in your head again, so stop that. mitra says, you are supported & are the support—reach out if you need help, be reachable if others do. we are an interconnected web & not only do we get to rely on one another, doing so is the key to our success, to our thriving.
soooo, what seed are you going to plant & nourish today? trust & surrender!
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a sort of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss. may it inspire you to enlighten up a little more each day.
