the daily blissit’s sunday, november 24, & moon is in the starspace called swati, which occupies a sky-slice of libra. libra wants us to bring harmony to our relationships, wants them to be good for others & good for us, wants them to be truly symbiotic. we are relational beings—we exist & we work out our karma in relation to others. & in order to be the best we can with others, we have to be the best we can for ourselves. if we don’t honor/respect/accept ourselves, we won’t be able to honor/respect/accept others.

“our ability to commit to the well-being of others is, of course, predicated on our ability to commit to our own well-being. without this fundamental pledge to ourselves, we are limited in what we actually have to offer others.” — katherine woodward thomas

swati is ruled by the deity vayu. the rig veda says that he is the cosmic life born from the breath of the cosmic man (purusa), just as the moon was born of the cosmic mind & the sun born of the eyes. vayu is related to prana, the cosmic winds that flow through us & keep us functioning. when they are out of whack, we are out of alignment, & we get sick. our inner winds can become unbalanced when we’re not eating properly or because, say, we’re giving too much to others & not enough to ourselves. feeling balanced? feeling harmonious vis à vis your relationship with yourself?

the thirteenth phase of the waning moon becomes the fourteenth around noon. the thirteenth lunar day is connected to kamadeva, the god of desire, while the fourteenth is connected to kali, goddess of destruction. the morning supports getting with your beloved & enjoying each other, the afternoon excising whatever doesn’t serve. yes, just as there is always one more piece of clothing that we never wear hanging around taking up physical & psychic space, so there is always yet another idea, another limiting belief that we can shred or toss. what can you get rid of today?

sunday is owned by the sun, who brings inner clarity—honing your vision is a helpful way to prep for the week to come. & sunday is always a good day to get outside & feel the sun’s rays on your skin so you can connect to your inner sun, your soul(ar) power, the power of your unique & authentic self.
