it’s thursday, november 25, & moon is in cancer, in the starspace called ashlesha. cancer is ruled by the moon, who is our ability to connect heart-to-heart with others & feel into how they are feeling. in the environment of cancer we can be like sponges for the emotions of others. we need to maintain our boundaries lest we succumb to, say, the jealousy or neediness or sorrow of others. we need to remember that it’s theirs, not ours. we can hold space for them, support them, but no matter how much we feel their pain, we can’t take it away from them.
ashlesha is ruled by the nagas, celestial serpents, & brings the lesson that what we cling to has the power to bring us own or bring us up. if we are clinging to love & compassion, we’re already there, but if we are clinging to jealousy or resentment we can transform that venom into the elixir of wisdom by asking ourselves what those feelings are trying to teach us. which, given that it’s thanksgiving & we may be spending time with people who trigger us, is a great good blessing!
it’s the sixth lunar day, the sixth phase of the waning moon, which invites us to celebrate our victories, big & small. when we acknowledge what we’ve done right, as opposed to obsessing about every little thing we’ve done wrong, or haven’t done, we set ourselves up for more success, & feeling successful empowers us to get more sh%t done.
thursday is ruled by jupiter, who went direct recently (finally!) & just moved into aquarius (yay!). jupiter gives us hope & inspiration. on a personal level, we will feel that forward motion & hopefulness in relation to whichever house aquarius rules for us. on a global level, we will feel it in regards to the world. i know that with so much feeling wrong in the world, from the way the pandemic has been handled & its impact on our lives to the way climate change is not being handled, etc., etc., etc., that the challenges may seem insurmountable. but with jupiter in aquarius through april, we can catch some momentum. if we all operate from a place of being the change we want to see in the world, we just may see some! or a lot!
may you have a most happy thanksgiving! may we all count our myriad blessings today!
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a kind of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss. may it inspire you to enlighten up a little more each day.
