it’s wednesday, november 4, & moon is in gemini, in the starspace called mrigashira. in the environment of gemini, our curiosity is on high alert: we are inclined to search for information, pursue new interests, want to frolic & play, want to share with & learn from others. in gemini, the truth will out, & now that this sign’s ruler, mercury, has gone direct, what’s been hidden, what’s been in some dark limbo of nondisclosure, may see the light of day. the truth is out there. if you’ve been hiding it or hiding from it, the jig is up.
mrigashira is the wandering deer, & like the deer, the energy of this asterism is gentle. the deer wanders in search of the tenderest morsel, the sweetest taste sensation, gently nibbling at this leaf & that one until she/he/it/they arrive at their goal: that morsel of knowledge that reveals the truth of their existence, the truth of our existence. all lunar energy says this looks like a good day for some truth-seeking.
it’s the fourth lunar day, the fourth phase of the waning moon. victory & innocence, purity of intention, are at play, as this tithi (lunar day) is related to shiva’s son kartikeya, who became not just an army general but an incredibly victorious one, at a very young age, at an age when, b/c he didn’t know any better, when his heart-mind hadn’t been corrupted by what the world told him was possible, he hewed to his innate wisdom, to the purity of his inner knowing. as a result, good triumphed over evil. may it always be so. where does evil lurk in your life? can you, through inquiry, tap into the means to eradicate it, into a clear vision of what needs to be so?
wednesday is ruled by mercury, who, as i mentioned above, just went direct, which means full steam ahead in terms of being able to use our discriminating intelligence, to be able to separate the wheat from the chaff when it comes to data/information, to be able to differentiate between fact & fiction. here’s to a fact-based reality!
