it’s friday, november 8, & moon is in the starspace called uttara bhadra, which occupies most of the first half of pisces. pisces is where we want to transcend the world we worked so hard to improve in aquarius (or, if we’re not vibrating at a very high frequency, just escape it). we put our effort into social or cultural progress for a couple of days during this time around the zodiac & now we’re, like, material existence is so last year, spirit is what is truly real, what truly matters—i just want to want to merge into source, into the ocean of consciousness, i just want to know that i am one with all that is & bathe in it.
uttara bhadra is ruled by ahir budhynya, the serpent who lives in the depths. whose depths? which serpent? our depths, where our wisdom, symbolized by the serpent, slithers about, unbeknown to us, hidden, its untapped power just waiting patiently to be accessed, perhaps being emitted from time to time as “aha” moments. kundalini, the energy of spiritual awakening, is said to lie coiled three times around the base of the spine, at muladhara chakra. through the purifying practices of yoga, we prepare for the serpent to awaken, for the truth that lies hidden in our depths to be revealed. will something be revealed today? will you get more curious about the potential that lies within you?
it’s the twelfth lunar day, which is related to the sun. the sun doesn’t have an “off” switch or a thermostat—he is always shining a light on our lives, trying to bring greater clarity to our vision, is always doing so full throttle. use the consistent power of your inner sun to take positive action steps today to move yourself forward.
