it’s friday, october 11, & moon is still in the starspace called purva bhadra until late afternoon today but does move into the pisces portion around 11 am mountain time. which means that while purva b holds space for us, we’re going to shed the cloak of aquarian energy & put on the cloak of piscean. whereas in aquarius our gaze extended as far as humanity, in pisces we expand our gaze even farther, to the vastness of the universe—our awareness of our place in the world at large extends way beyond that to our place in the cosmos, we begin to grok that we are a drop, but a very special drop, in the ocean of consciousness.
purva bhadra holds sway for most of the day (see yesterday’s post for the deets!), but i’ll touch on uttara bhadra, where moon will be starting about 5:40 this afternoon (mountain time) through most of tomorrow, b/c i don’t post on saturdays (aka, sacred saturday). uttara b is ruled by the deity ahir budhnya, the snake who swims in the depths of the ocean, aka consciousness, but still has to come to the surface to breathe. so, too, we can & need to dive deep, b/c that’s where the troves of wisdom are, but we can’t stay there forever. like ahir budhnya or like mermaids, we can spend only so much time in the water—we are meant to put the wisdom we find in the depths into practice in the world.
the fourteenth phase of the waxing moon—yes, there is a full moon on the horizon, so get ready—begins late morning so we may be feeling full, or nearly full, to bursting with emotional intensity. the full moon will be in pisces, opposite the virgo new moon of two weeks ago, so it’s a good lunar day to start letting go of that virgoan obsession with details & trust that the universe has your back.
friday is own by venus, who is hanging out in his own sign, libra, with mercury, which means if you’ve been thinking about your relationships & the micro-climate of your own little world, about bringing more joy & harmony to them, you’ve been getting the starry download.
