it’s thursday, october 12, & moon is in virgo, in the starspace called uttaraphalguni. while leo vibrates with the frequency of our sovereign power, virgo vibrates with the frequency of the minutiae that prop up our power. moon joins mercury, virgo’s ruler, & sun here. virgo is, um, mercury’s power place, so we get to use merc’s strength to see & tackle the small stuff, which is made easier with sun shining his huge solar light here. all these planetary actors will be playing a role big time during the eclipse on saturday. more on that tomorrow, but meanwhile, let’s get cracking on what i like to call all the small, boring life crap that makes the big, fun stuff possible.
uttaraphalguni is ruled by aryaman, who blesses contracts made with the highest interests of both parties in mind with prosperity. when they’re not, all hell breaks loose, poverty ensures, as it has, most recently, in israel. i’m no historian, but it’s obvious (is it not?!) that the contract that made israel a homeland for the jewish people was not beneficial to all involved, & as happens everywhere foreigners get involved, the foreigners have largely tried to micromanage from afar, pasting bandaids on mortal wounds, apparently gobsmacked that a ruptured artery could produce so much blood. really?!
hmmm, well, the thirteenth lunar day becomes the fourteenth around 8:30 a.m. MDT, so i’m calling the latter for our purposes today, which means only two days before the new moon, so we are releasing, releasing, releasing. new moon is going to be in merc-ruled virgo, which is opposite jupiter-ruled pisces, so perhaps we are releasing, or thinking about releasing, beliefs that are narrow-minded rather than open-minded, that are emotion- rather than logic-driven. like, for example, that “an eye for an eye” is how to address agreements gone wrong, cause, um, how’s that been working?!
thursday is ruled by jupiter, who gives us beliefs. how’s about embracing the belief that there can be no double standards, even, especially, during times of war. to wit: ursula von der leyen, the E.U. prez, called out russia for shutting down ukrainians’ basic human survival needs but not the israeli government’s in gaza. compassion says that all peoples everywhere deserve to have their human rights respected. that’s something i can believe in. how about you?
