daily blissit’s sunday, october 13, & moon is full in the starspace called revati, which is the last nakshatra of pisces. pisces energy is about surrender, about letting go, ultimately into the fullness of existence, but it can also invite us to just check out of this reality through drugs or sex or alcohol or binge-watching netflix or whatever our favorite mode of numbing is. hopefully with jupiter aspecting (giving his gaze to, shining his light on) moon today, that won’t happen; jupiter will keep our consciousness uplifted.

revati is ruled by the deity pushan, the shepherd who guides us home, who guides us to experience the fullness of our existence, to understand our true nature, our interconnectedness with all that is. he is a gentle shepherd, said to be so gentle he doesn’t even have teeth—he guides us on with nothing but benevolence, nothing but compassion for us on our journey, patiently nudging us to take one more step forward. the key is that in order to be guided, we have to let someone guide us, we have to surrender, we have to trust.

the full moon represents the halfway point in the lunar month, which started with the new moon in virgo. during the first half of the month we worked on the virgo themes of our lives, organizing all the micro-details, trying to wrest control over as much of our life as possible. the full moon in pisces invites us to trust that we’ve done all we can do & that there are other forces at work in our lives, forces larger than us. virgo worries & stresses, pisces surrenders. virgo is structure, pisces is flow. pisces provides the balance to virgo. the grace to virgo’s effort. we need to make effort & need to know when to let go, stop efforting. we need effort & grace in equal measures. b/c we don’t really know where we’re going, do we? are you where you thought you would be? is it possible that the universe has other ideas for you, a different life design in mind? can you let go of your worldly burdens & let the shepherd take it from here? can you trust that the universe has your back?

sunday is ruled by the sun, so this is a good day, especially b/c the full moon is when the sun is shining directly on it, infusing our mind with his soul(ar) power, to clarify our vision, our sense of who we are in the world & how we are walking, want to walk through, it.
