daily blissit’s tuesday, october 1, & moon is in the starspace called vishakha. vishakha occupies real estate in both libra & scorpio & moon will be moving into the scorpio portion later this afternoon. which means: we’ll be getting our libra harmony on, working those relationships, keeping everyone, including ourselves, happy for most of the daylight hours & then we’ll start diving into the intense waters of our emotional fears-doubts-paranoias. sound fun? so shore yourself up with friendship while you can!

vishakha is the only asterism that gets dual deity rulership. it is ruled by indra & agni, the king & the priest, the power duo of politics & spirituality. way back when, the king & priest had a sort of codependent relationship: the priest performed the rituals to anoint the king, secure his throne, keep him in power, & the king gave the priest a livelihood, paid his bills, gave him an allowance, so to speak. even in the 20th century, in england, the king or queen was considered to be anointed by god & the coronation was (& so it shall presumably go in the 21st century) conducted in a church, in westminster abbey, & was presided over by the archbishop, not a government minister. of course in england the sovereign’s role is ceremonial not political, but the relationship between sovereign & head of church suggests a higher purpose for the sovereign, suggests that he/she/they is/are a conduit for the divine, almost an avatar—they rule through the grace of god, at god’s pleasure.

for those of us who are merely mortal & reign over nothing but our own humble lives, the question becomes: how would we reign if we were indeed vehicles for the divine? how would that transform our decisions? how would that transform our perspective? how would that transform us?

it’s the fourth lunar day (apologies for saying yesterday was the second—i mean it was when i woke up, but that was too early for most!), which means obstacles may present today, but you know what they say: one person’s obstacle is another person’s gift! how would you deal with that obstacle if you saw it as an offering from the divine?

tuesday is owned by mars, who has an opportunity for the next few weeks to become self-masterly disciplined—not really one of mars’ strong suits, b/c he just likes to act. where can you use more courage & more perspective to act courageously rather than hot-headedly? what area of life is asking you to cool your jets a bit so you can take more productive action steps?
