it’s friday, october 20, & moon is in sagittarius, moving from the starspace called mula into purvashadha around 9 a.m. MDT. in the environment of sagittarius, our inspiration & imaginative powers are on high, so let’s do tap into them today while we can. who or what inspires you? can you let your imagination run cage-free?

mula (see yesterday’s post for more) invites us to pull our life weeds, & guess what i did yesterday? i literally pulled a gazillion weeds—denuded my veggie patch & covered it with plastic, put it to bed for the winter! purvashadha invites us to start planting our dream seeds in the space we cleared, the dream that keeps nagging at us, that won’t be denied, the one we don’t want to leave this planet without realizing. it’s a good idea to touch the thing we love every day, so why not start today?

it’s the sixth lunar day, the sixth phase of the waxing moon, which supports us not only in dreaming our dream, but in catching hold of it & building it, making it a reality. this tithi (lunar phase) gives us the passion to realize our dreams & to make the necessary sacrifices to do so. what is your dream & what are you willing to sacrifice for it? (maybe today’s yoga will help—see more below!)

friday is ruled by venus, planet of love, whose shadow side is attachment & possessiveness. what’s your attachment style? you know what sting said, “if you love someone, set them free”! which can, yes, mean let them go when it’s time for them to go, but can also mean, let them be free to be who they are, let them do what they need to do by themselves, or with others, without taking it as rejection, as a sign that you aren’t loved. can you love without attachment, without clinging, without its all being about you?

bonus trak: the combination of friday + purvashadha + the sixth tithi creates what’s called a vinasha yoga (yoga is a combination or union of energies), which is said to be inauspicious. vinasha can mean “death” or “destruction” or “cessation.” death or destruction can often catch us by surprise, but not if we deliberately destroy, say, negative tendencies or limiting beliefs. & cessation can be awesome if it entails a deeper meditative state. let me know how this yoga rolls for you today!

& that’s your daily bliss! which is a sort of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss.
