it’s monday, october 21, & moon is in the starspace called pushya, which is one of the nakshatras that fine-tune the energy of cancer. cancer is where we connect to our heart, which is what connects us to all that is, b/c all that is is an infinite flow of love, of heart energy. cancer is unconditional, motherly love, the kind of love that knows no bounds, does not differentiate, has more than enough to give to all & wants to do so. this is where emotion becomes devotion. do your emotions lead you to deeper devotion? what are you devoted to & does it come from your heart? when you say the word “love,” silently or out loud, where do you feel its essence in your body?
pushya means “to nourish” or “thrive,” & the energy here is, as represented by its symbol, the cow’s teat, about nourishing, about encouraging others to thrive, like a cow does her calf, a mother her baby. but nourishing everyone else but yourself is a recipe for disaster: in order to give, you have to be full; you can’t give if your own tank is empty; you can’t feed your baby if you have no milk to give. so today is a good day to nourish yourself so you can give more & a good day to be grateful to those who have nourished you thus far & also a great good day to ponder who can use more nourishment in your life and how to provide it. so, yeah, lots of nourishing possibilities!
it’s the eighth lunar day, which relates to creativity & the eight qualities—the five elements & three gunas—that make life, the ultimate creation, possible. how’s your big creation going? where are you or are you not in alignment? what needs to shift?
monday is ruled by the moon, & since cancer is also ruled by the moon, it makes it a double-good day for tapping into & trusting heart energy, our intuition, our sense of deep knowing & deeper connection.
