it’s monday, october 23, & moon is in capricorn, in the starspace called dhanishta. capricorn, where moon has been over the weekend, vibrates with the frequency of practicality, of taking all that sagittarian inspiration & building something real from it. how’s that going? what practical action steps can you take today vis à vis creating a more solid foundation for your life? cap’s stern ruler, saturn, reminds us that we don’t have forever, to stop procrastinating, to put our noses to the grindstone & just get ‘er done. & ya know we always feel better, more secure, after, even if it’s not so much fun in the moment, right?
dhanishta’s alternative name is shravishta, which shows its relation to shravana, the previous asterism. shravana invited us into deep receptivity & listening, & connecting people to their purpose, making them or us famous as a result, while shravishta can be translated as “most heard of” or “most famous.” dhanishta means “wealthiest,” & brings together resources & people to create abundance & prosperity. fame is just one kind of wealth. what does true wealth & abundance mean to you? as wookiefoot sings on “just visiting,” “there are people so damn poor all they have is their money” & “truth be told, the truth will be told/only hear it when we’re listening.” are you listening deeply & acting on that truth? material wealth is all well & fine, does have a purpose, but we get to remember that “you will never see a hearse with a trailer hitch.”
speaking of purpose & listening deeply, it’s the tenth lunar day, the tenth phase of the waxing moon, which is ruled by dharma, the god who connects us to our purpose. knowing our purpose, finding our path, may feel confusing, we may feel like we are zigzagging & getting nowhere. but if we listen deeply & trust our inner knowing (it helps that today is the moon’s day & moon gives us intuition!) to guide us, to recognize signs from the divine, see the patterns in our life, all will be revealed. confusion is just a stirring up of energy so it can resettle & we can read the messages clearly.
