it’s wednesday, october 23, & moon is in the starspace called magha, which means we are now in leo territory. leo creates an environment that supports us in unpacking & establishing our personal identity, allowing us to feel like kings (metaphorically speaking—i am so not condoning patriarchy, at all!), the rulers of our own realms. this power comes to us via the sun, who rules leo & brings clarity of vision & recharges us as if we were solar batteries, b/c, um, we are actually, sun is indeed our power source. note that sun is in libra for the next few weeks & he’s not happy there, not able to express his highest energy, so we may have to really dig down to trust our vision, to be able to manifest it; we may need to constantly remind ourselves that we are not meant to be small, that it doesn’t serve anyone if we are. put a post-it on your fridge! let the world hear you roar!
magha is ruled by the pitris, the ancestors, which means those who came before us genetically but also culturally or spiritually; it means any of the ones who made it possible for us to walk our walk now. this nakshatra invites us to honor our ancestors with gratitude but also with our actions by letting them know their work was not in vain. it also provides an opportunity to heal our lineage(s), to take the risks our forbears weren’t able to, to live the lives they couldn’t live, to say the things they couldn’t say, to forgive those they couldn’t forgive. how lucky are we?
the tenth lunar day becomes the eleventh early this afternoon, so morning is a good time to take care of responsibilities (tell me about it!), especially those involving right actions, & afternoon will be a good time to commit or recommit to practices that keep you on your path, like meditation, healthy eating, seva.
wednesday is ruled by mercury, which makes this a great good day for communicating & dealing with the means of communication, like computers (if anyone knows how to get my imessage working on my computer again, lmk!) & phones. & btw: merc goes retrograde october 31—best practice would be to get all your letters written, your computers backed up, your novel finished before then. just saying!
& that’s your daily bliss! jyotish, vedic astrology, is the science of light. if you want to shine more light on your life, contact me for a session! ~.~
