daily blissit’s friday, october 25, & moon is in the starspace called uttara phalguni, which straddles leo & virgo, eliding leo’s kingly energy into virgo’s organizational energy. b/c it is all well & good to feel like the lord of your domain, but if you don’t pay attention to the details of that domain (which could mean delegating those responsibilities, which is fine, fine, fine!), if your kingdom’s streets aren’t swept & the garbage taken out, if you don’t set up solar panels & ban plastic from your kingdom, your domain will fall to ruin, & then how lordly will you feel? b/c the highest expression of kingliness is being in right relationship with what you exert control over, being in right relationship with your micro & macro universe.

if uttara phalguni sounds familiar, that’s b/c it’s connected to yesterday’s purva phalguni; uttara is the complementary male energy to purva’s female energy. female energy is receptive, its effectiveness lies in not doing but in being, while male energy is active, its effectiveness lies in doing. so yesterday we took a little timeout from our soul work, which does not mean we did nothing—we just gave ourselves a chance to soak in, to soak up, all the work we have done thus far, to remind ourselves that, yes, we are making progress. but today we are ready to do again, we are ready to uplevel our material existence by putting our spiritual principles to work. we get courage from this nakshatra’s shakti to do so & we get insight from its ruling deity, aryaman, who gives us the quality of insight. go, team!

it’s the thirteenth lunar day (new moon alert for sunday!), which, yay, is related to desire & happiness, & how auspicious that friday is ruled by venus, who likewise wants us to fulfill our desires, our material, embodied desires, & be happy, who wants us to eat delicious food, dance, enjoy nature, be with our beloved or beloveds, do whatever brings us joy. & venus is in his (yes, alas, all the planets are considered male, even tho venus/aphrodite is a goddess in other mythologies!) home sign of libra, so we should be feeling the best of venus energy, we should be feeling harmonious in our relationships, that everything is good for others & good for us.
