it’s friday, october 27, & moon is in pisces, in the starspace called revati, & it’s the penultimate phase of the waxing moon. which means we have a full moon tomorrow—& a partial lunar eclipse, & it’ll be in aries, in the starspace called ashwini.
pisces vibrates with the frequency of completion, which is pretty apt, b/c the lunar eclipse (noon till 4 MDT) represents completion as well: the completion of the aries-libra eclipse cycle & the 18-month transit of the nodes (rahu & ketu), which move into pisces & virgo in a coupla days.
the axis of aries & libra represents the contrast between our ego/individuality (aries, where sun is exalted) & the humility necessary to be in relationship (sun is debilitated in libra). so, while aries & libra represent different areas of life for each of us depending on the house they fall in in our charts, in general they’re all about me vs them.
we get to look back at the relationship lessons we’ve been getting since the first set of eclipses occurred in aries-libra, in april 2022, ask ourselves how that’s been going, & finish that homework stat. for ashwini brings healing & aries wants new beginnings, wants to look forward rather than backward, wants to see & seize opportunities, to shift our perspective. we are being invited to harness & focus our vital life force so that we can swiftly & efficiently begin again, start with a clean slate, one with judgments & blame erased & a mind open to new ways of being. we get to take responsibility for whatever hasn’t been working, for allowing people who don’t have our best interests at heart into our lives, who aren’t in full alignment with us or who have ill-used us.
with jupiter-rahu-moon in aries & sun-mercury-mars-ketu opposite in libra, there is a lot of conflicting & confusing & volatile planetary energy in the mix, & definitely the possibility of being harsh with our words. it’s a good idea to zip it or journal rather than share our thoughts & opinions until after the eclipse—people can be too sensitive to hear what we have to say & we may be so eager to speak that we create harm rather than healing with our words.
our full moon/eclipse work won’t actually finish until december 31 (way to celebrate a new year!), when ketu joins the degree where solar eclipse was two weeks ago, but we get to start our engines now!
