it’s friday, october 29, & moon is in cancer, in the starspace called ashlesha. cancer resonates with heart connection to one & all, with boundless love. on the livestream 50th-anniversary celebration of ram dass’s “be here now” on sunday, there was a discussion about how the buddhist concept of emptiness relates to love: that emptiness means no separation, & no separation means the merging of me into you, the merging of all selves into oneness, & that oneness is, & can only be, love. someone also mentioned that shunyata, the buddhist word for “emptiness,” can be translated as “boundlessness.” is your love bound or boundless?

ashlesha brings the energy of the nagas, supernatural serpents, & the lesson that if we’re going to cling to anything, it’s best for it to be something like love or compassion rather than fear or anxiety. has holding too tightly to something/someone b/c you’re afraid of losing that thing/person ever worked for you? can you cling to nonattachment? to doing what’s loving for yourself (which is always what’s loving for the other person)? can you just cling to love?

it’s the ninth lunar day, the ninth phase of the waning moon, which also infuses the day with serpent energy, so we get to double down on our fears & anxieties & what they reflect about us. can you embrace your fears & anxieties with love so you can alchemize them into wisdom, which is what cosmic serpents do? feel into your cosmic serpentness today—ssssssss!

venus, who owns friday, loves love. when we love, we open ourselves to life and broaden our horizons, but when we fear, we close ourselves off. b/c of all the serpent energy at play today, which can have us clinging to negative stories about others, perceiving/fearing/imagining the worst, we have an especially good opportunity to really lean into loving kindness—toward ourselves & others. we can start by asking ourselves what’s true about the thoughts or emotions we’re experiencing, what we can really know about what’s going on in someone else’s heart or mind. unless we’re psychic, usually not much! so why not assume the best? why not choose love? why not be boundless love & broaden, rather than shrink, our horizons? what’s the best that could happen?!

& that’s your daily bliss! which is a kind of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss. may it inspire you to enlighten up a little more each day.
