it’s monday, october 2, & moon is moving from aries into taurus just after noon mountain time while being supported & transported by the starspace called krittika. aries, where moon has been since saturday morning, vibrates with the frequency of making a fresh start, of choosing to be or do something new. “when we choose something new, it’s b/c we finally realize that continuing to choose the same—the same thoughts, same feelings, same habits, same emotional reactions—will bring us only more of the same experiences,” says dr. joe dispenza. how’d you embody the new this weekend? taurus vibrates with the frequency of being comfortable just where we are, of grounding after being fired up by aries, not needing anything new, extra.
krittika is ruled by agni, the primordial god of fire, & derives from the sanskrit verb kṛt, which means “to cut.” this asterism gives us the power to purify our lives by burning away negativity, excess, cutting away, pruning, the dead branches, the dead growth, in our lives. we can think of this energy as inviting us to create a sacred bonfire & tossing in whatever has served its purpose, whatever has been taking up too much physical or psychic space, making an offering of it, so bringing a lot of intention for the reason it gets to go, what it is making more room for in our lives.
it’s the fourth lunar day, the fourth phase of the waning moon, which is ruled by yama, the lord of death, & is related to ganesh, the lord of obstacles, who was born on this tithi (lunar day)—all of which means we may face some challenges today, feel thwarted. death sounds soooo ominous, right? but we experience little deaths all the time; death is just an ending. & while ganesh throws down obstacles in our path, he also helps us overcome them—go figure! this tithi supports us in vanquishing our enemies (external or, um, more likely, internal), killing them dead, & overcoming obstacles, vanquishing them & killing them dead as well! you got this, but/& if you need a little support, you can chant a ganesh mantra, like om gam ganapataye namah!
monday is ruled by the moon, the part of us that trusts our inner-knowing, our heart-knowing. may your intuition speak louder than your ego!
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a sort of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss.
