it’s monday, october 31, & moon is in capricorn, in the starspace called uttarashadha. saturn-ruled capricorn vibrates with the frequency of tangible commitments, of putting one foot in front of the other, b/c we feel the threat of time nipping at our heels. with saturn now in forward motion after being retrograde for a few months, we’ve had plenty of time to reflect on where we want to go next—it’s time to start actually moving in that direction, taking positive action steps.
uttarashadha is ruled by the vishvadevas. uttara = later, ashadha = that which cannot be subdued; the vishvadevas = the 330 million deities, or superpowers, who have our backs. this asterism brings a lesson about coming into greater alignment with our highest purpose, fulfilling the promise of our unique gifts, making our dreams come true, by calling on all the resources at our disposal to support us. we can definitely call on the gods, pray to them, but while prayer without action won’t get us very far, prayer with action pretty much equals guaranteed victory. it’s a good day to take stock of resources & take advantage of them to free what you’ve been quashing.
it’s the seventh lunar day, the seventh phase of the waxing moon, a bhadra (auspicious) tithi, & it’s ruled by indra. we are supported in standing in our power but doing so with humility, bearing in mind that the axiom “pride goeth before the fall” should have been indra’s mantra.
monday is ruled by the moon, which is our intuitive nature, our connection to our heart-knowing. intuition is not the same thing as a hunch. true intuitive insight is ever reliable, hunches not so much. how to tell the difference? as chris wallis explains: when we question a hunch, if it comes from deep subconscious conditioning (samskaras), “the mind will defend & justify it, arguing for its validity & pointing to the ‘evidence’ that seems to corroborate it.” but “when we question a real intuition, [the mind] remains silent.”
trusting our heart-knowing will always lead us to our truth. or as rumi put it, “if light is in your heart, you will find your way home.” or as lydia lunch (anyone remember her?!) put it, “home is where the heart is.”
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a sort of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss. may it inspire you to enlighten up a little more each day.
