it’s monday, october 3, & moon is in sagittarius, in the starspace called purvashadha. sagittarius vibrates with the frequency of ruling-planet jupiter’s generosity & wisdom, bigness of spirit. under the sway of sagittarius our world view expands, we pull back & zoom out, get a broader, more generous perspective on our life. we feel the hand of god (or whatever term you want to use for the ineffable, for that force of benevolent support) at play. we understand that everything is unfolding exactly as it is meant to, that the universe does have our back. we trust & thus find comfort in knowing that there is an intelligence greater than us informing our life.

purvashadha brings a lesson about the gifts & wisdom that lie dormant within us, the karmic seeds of potentiality awaiting the nourishment that will allow them to germinate, sprout, come into full, magnificent manifestation. we may, say, have the potential to become a gymnast, but if we don’t work with a coach & practice our moves & eat a healthy diet & get proper zzz’s every night, that seed ain’t going nowhere. & that may be fine—our heartfelt desire may not align with that innate talent. this asterism invites us to reflect on what is secreted within us that we do long to share with the world, we do truly, madly, deeply want to nourish.

it’s the ninth lunar day, the ninth phase of the waxing moon, which is related to the nagas, semidivine beings that can shape-shift from cobralike to human, or can be half & half. they live in the underworld, in the deep crevices of our psyche, & contain toxins but toxins that can also heal. it’s a good day to examine the toxicity in our own minds, rather than see toxicity as coming from other people. in this way we might learn a thing or two, get a reveal of wisdom, which is the medicine that heals.

monday is ruled by the moon, who is the part of us that just wants peace—for ourselves & for everyone else, b/c we are, after all, all interconnected; we can’t feel truly at peace until everyone is at peace. but peace does surely start with ourselves, so repeat after me: “i bless & release what does not bring me peace.”

& that’s your daily bliss! which is a of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss. may it inspire you to enlighten up a little more each day.
