daily blissit’s thursday, september 19, & moon is in the starspace called krittika, which starts in aries & ends in taurus. moon is already in the taurus portion of this nakshatra now, having slipped over the border while we were asleep. so mind is starting the day supported by taurus, where it feels grounded & comfortable—earthly pleasures encourage that & so does sharing those pleasures with others, which is what venus’s rulership brings to this sign. i think of taurus as an over-large, overstuffed shabby-chic couch, which invites you to loll in it all day day long, reading your favorite novel, drinking tea, enjoying delectable snax, maybe putting your feet up on the lap of your beloved, who then gently, sweetly, lovingly massages them without distracting you from your other pleasures, just adding some delicious icing to them.

krittika is ruled by agni, the primordial deity of fire. fire is the medium into which offerings are made & transported up to the divine. so agni is the messenger between us & the gods, the one who carries our gratitude & our wishes (always do offer a little thanks before you ask for something!) to them. as a fiery agent, agni is connected to tejas, the fire that burns within each of us & produces results according to what we toss into it. just as outer fire cooks food, our inner fire cooks our consciousness, helping us to evolve, burn brighter.

what have you been tossing into your inner fire? are you offering it splinters or logs? if you don’t feel as if you’re making enough progress on your path, maybe you need to turn up the heat, add more fuel to that fire. & don’t forget to say “swaha” once you make your offering, b/c letting go of, not expecting, results is the key to receiving them. oi, yes, i know!

it’s the sixth lunar day, so a good day to celebrate your victories. what worked for you yesterday? how did you honor yourself? take note. write down those successes. keep a list to remind yourself of your continuing evolution, of how every day you take another step forward on your path of embodying your magnificent gifts, of shining your internal light out into the world!
