it’s thursday, september 1, & moon is in libra, in the starspace called swati. relationships are our preoccupation under the sway of libra. we want to get out & be with our people, or invite them into our homes. which is a great good thing b/c connection is a core human need, but too much of a good thing isn’t necessarily a better thing; putting all our attention on others can take its toll on ourselves. so we look to the sign opposite, in this case aries, to create balance. aries is all about our “me,” libra all about “them.” so we get to ask ourselves whether we are out of integrity with ourselves, with our own sense of self, as we engage with others, whether our relationships reflect our fullest expression of self or whether they diminish our ability to be who we be.
swati is ruled by vayu, lord of the wind & hanuman’s dad. hanuman famously harnessed his inner winds, his prana, & was carried by the external wind all the way from india to sri lanka to rescue sita from the demon king ravana. that was no small feat! how was he able to achieve it? the power of devotion, his devotion to ram, aka god, the divine, gave him the courage to believe he could do it & so he was able to focus all his life force & accomplish what seemed impossible. this asterism brings a lesson about our ability to accomplish the impossible if we are devoted to the highest & focus. for, as superman said, “there is a superhero in all of us. we just need the courage to put on the cape.” are you ready to put on your cape?
it’s the sixth lunar day, the sixth phase of the waxing moon, which supports us in celebrating our victories. any positive step forward, any act of more fully aligning with who we be is cause for celebration—one small step forward for each of us is one big step forward for humanity, b/c as we raise our vibration we raise the vibration of the collective.
thursday is infused with the energy of jupiter, planet of expansion, who invites us to feel into & own our infinite, limitless potential just as hanuman did.
