it’s wednesday, september 22, & moon is in pisces (see yesterday’s post for deets), in the starspace called revati. &, as if that’s not enough, it’s the fall equinox, which marks one of the two times in the year when night & day are of equal duration—from here on out, or until the winter solstice, when the balance shifts in the other direction, the nights are going to get longer & the days shorter. i do love me the longer days of summer, b/c i seem to get so much more done, but i gotta say, that the sooner the darkness, the sooner my neighbors’ super active boys head indoors & i’m not pummeled by their constant yelling & screaming & general unbounded & unboundaried exuberance. yes, boys will be boys, but boundaries make good neighbors, & i do like to be able to hear myself think!
revati is ruled by pushan, the shepherd who guides the soul home after journeying around the zodiac. as we complete a cycle of growth we get to feel bathed by the shepherd’s gentleness & generosity, compassion & devotion &/or spread that gentleness & compassion around. who in your life could use some?
it’s the second lunar day, the second phase of the waning moon, which supports creativity that provides a solid foundation for our life, that sustains us. if you are inspired to, say, knit an afghan or make a vat of soup that you can freeze in quarts, go for it.
wednesday is owned by mercury, who loves loves loves information & therefore loves loves loves a free & uncensored media, as in mass media, as in the various modalities through which we communicate with one another, share thoughts & opinions. there was a lively & civil discussion yesterday on my neighborhood nextdoor platform about masking vs not in stores & in general. nextdoor considers itself “the neighborhood hub for trusted connections and the exchange of helpful information, goods, and services. we believe that by bringing neighbors together, we can cultivate a kinder world where everyone has a neighborhood they can rely on.” after a couple of juicy hours the thread was deleted. nextdoor shut it down, censored the convo. wtf?! mercury was sooooo not happy. how can we “cultivate a kinder world” when we can’t talk to one another?! discuss, hopefully uncensored, amongst yourselves!
