it’s monday, september 23, & moon is in the starspace called punarvasu, which is mostly in gemini but a little bit in cancer. moon will be in the gemini portion until way late afternoon mountain time, then starts its next two & a half day sojourn, in cancer. so punarvasu is the bridge between gemini & cancer energy, between intellectual curiosity/playfulness & the divine mother, our heart connection. the message is that head & heart have to be in alignment, have to work together—we can dig up amazing information, but if we can’t put it to a purpose that makes our heart sing, if we can’t make something from it that serves our highest purpose, that betters the world around us, who cares?
punarvasu is ruled by aditi, who is the divine mother as manifested in everything. she is unlimited, unbounded, undifferentiated abundance. she is the force that enlivens. period. sri aurobindo taught that the divine mother is the conscious force of god, shakti pure & simple, the divine force that acts through us & beyond us. according to his translation about aditi in the vedas:
“may we call to aditi for protection, who is, verily, the great builder of those who are engaged in happy works, who is the ‘consort of truth,’ whose strength is manifold; who embraces the vast, who is a happy shelter, who is perfect in her leading.”
modern translation: she’s super mom! the one who always has your back, who dries your tears & gives you a shoulder to cry on, who always knows when you need her & who keeps you on your dharmic path. how can you use that energy today? where do you need more motherly support, more unconditional love? where are your head & heart not in sync?
it’s the tenth lunar day, which is related to duties & responsibilities & thus to taking action steps in alignment with the truth of who you are. name one thing you can do today to move you closer to your truth!
the lord of monday is the moon, which is our consciousness, which is where heart holds sway over head, where we let feeling rather than thinking guide us. what’s the message you’re getting from your innermost source, your intuitive center? are you ready to trust it?
