daily blissit’s wednesday, september 25, & moon is in the starspace of cancer called ashlesha. cancer is ruled by the moon, which means we are especially emotional when moon transits this sign. we may want to connect more with friends & family, but we may feel too sensitive around them, too empathic, or emotions can just boil over. a flood of love is great, but a flood of jealousy? not so much. make sure your boundaries are solid, not porous right now.

ashlesha is ruled by sarpa, which means snake or small serpent. ashlesha energy is entwining like a snake. the trick is to make sure that what you’re entwined with isn’t, say, toxic emotions or a toxic relationship, that you aren’t clinging to something that sooooooo doesn’t serve your highest expression of self, that you’re not clinging b/c, say, it’s familiar, b/c you are afraid of what would happen if you let go. there was a sage who had two wives, to whom he gave boons. his first wife asked for 1,000 magnificent snake sons. his second wife asked for two magnificent bird sons. when the snakes were born, they enslaved the second wife, but when the second wife’s son garuda (aka, eagle) was born, he freed his mother & became an eater of snakes. sooooo, if you don’t have a live eagle on hand, you can always harness your inner eagle if you’ve got some serpenty toxins you need freeing from. & you can always come into garudasana, eagle pose, to focus that energy. sometimes all it takes is a shift in perspective to turn poison into a potion for growth.

it’s the twelfth lunar day, which is connected to the sun. the sun is always shining, even when it’s dark in your part of the world; it is a consistent source of energy & power. how can you be like the sun today & act powerfully & consistently?
