it’s friday (again!), september 6, & moon is in the starspace called jyeshtha, which occupies the last third of scorpio. how’s that scorpio energy been treating you? have you been triggered or transformed by it? both? more one than the other? have you been able or unable to just observe as someone pushed your buttons? if the latter, it’s b/c scorpio’s ruler, mars, is being singed by the sun over in leo. the good news is that by sundown moon will have moved into sagittarius, so you will hopefully be feeling more emotionally settled after that.
jyeshtha means “the elder one,” as in the one who has experience, knowledge, & whose job it is to take care of those younger & more vulnerable. this asterism is ruled by indra, the king of the gods, who, like an elder, was responsible for the entire heavenly pantheon, had dharmic work to do. but he couldn’t take his position as king for granted—he had to defend it repeatedly, losing & winning heaven, riding the rollercoaster of victory & defeat, no doubt thanks to his rep as an abuser of power & being a bit too full of himself, of having an “i’m older & i know better than you,” “my way or the highway” kind of attitude. when we are out of alignment with our dharma, with our highest purpose, when we operate from a place of ego rather than connection to source & truth, it’s only a matter of time before we fall, & fall hard. so don’t do that! 😜
it’s the ninth lunar day, which is related to serpent energy. in case you haven’t learned the lesson of toxic emotions, here’s one more chance: the deal with serpents is that they contain venom, but venom can be transformed into a healing elixir. that’s how homeopathy works. in fact, if my memory serves me, rhus toxicodendron, which comes from snakes, is used to alleviate arthritis & other joint pain. so work some homeopathic magic on yourself by turning the poisons of your mind into a cure.
friday is owned by venus, planet of beauty & pleasure. venus generally wants to create a cozy container in which to enjoy the good things of life, especially with others, but if you’ve been feeling like your efforts to create & hold that space have been going unappreciated, why not turn that attention on yourself today—love & appreciate YOURSELF by giving yourself a day of beauty!
& that’s your daily bliss! jyotish, vedic astrology, is the science of light. if you want to shine more light on your life, contact me for a session! ~.~
