daily blissit’s sunday, september 8, & today’s special sauce is brought to you partly by the fact that moon is in the purva ashadha portion of sagittarius. sagittarius is where we connect to what inspires our bigger picture of life, the beliefs that give shape to it, create the container in which we can become our super-sized selves. alas, saturn & ketu have been hanging out in sag for eons (& aren’t going anywhere anytime soon). one of them would be enough to put a damper on moon’s equanimity, but both together? in a fire sigh? ugh! if you’ve been feeling a little, um, stressed in the emotional sphere of your life this weekend, blame that duo! but have no fear, moon (ie, your thinking-feeling heart-mind) will be feeling more grounded as soon as it makes its way into capricorn in the wee hours overnight tonight.

purva ashadha is ruled by apas, the goddess who governs water; she is water personified as a deity. we’re talking inner & outer water—our inner waters, which are our emotions, & watery water, which is used to purify our physical body, when we bathe, as well as our spiritual body, when it is used in ritual. water flows. emotions flow. but sometimes they don’t. sometimes there’s a blockage. sometimes, say, fear (of intimacy, of being fully seen, of rejection) prevents us from letting love flow. our essence is love, we are made to give & receive love. so what to do when we can’t or won’t but in our heart of hearts we really really really want to? purify those love channels by releasing everything that isn’t love & is taking up space in them!!! yeah, sure, easier said than done, but trying is believing!

it’s the eleventh lunar day, which is the perfect time to recommit to your spiritual practices or commit to new ones—but do so b/c you want to not b/c you think you have to. do so b/c you can.

sunday is the sun’s day, so it’s a great good day to get out in the sun, soak up its purifying, life-giving rays.
