it’s thursday, september 4, & moon is in capricorn, in the starspace called uttarāṣāḍha until noon, then śravaṇa. capricorn vibrates with the frequency of practicality, of making something tangible & lasting from the hopefulness & inspiration of sagittarius, of bringing the ethereal down to earth.

capricorn is ruled by saturn, whose sanskrit name is shani, which means “slow-moving.” he is the slowest-moving planet in the vedic zodiac (which does not include uranus, neptune & pluto). he takes 29-ish years to complete one orbit. he takes his time to deliver, but he does deliver. he invites us to take consistent & persistent action, to keep putting one foot in front of the other, to remember that the tortoise, not the hare, won the race. but/& if you can make quicker progress, you go!

uttarāṣāḍha is ruled by the vishvadevas, all the universal gods, all the powers in heaven, the combined energy of all our inner forces, which, when put to proper use help us achieve our goal, get across the finish line.

śravaṇa is ruled by vishnu, the sustainer of the universe, the one who connected all worlds. it is the star of listening, of listening to our innermost most inner voice & of listening to others, which is how we connect—to our intuition & to others. talk less, listen more is a good mantra for today.

it’s the twelfth lunar day (tithi), the twelfth phase of the waxing moon, which has the quality of wealth—material, spiritual, intellectual, physical—of accumulating more. it is also said that our eleventh tithi prayers are answered on the twelfth tithi. did you pray? (no judgment if you didn’t!) what did you pray for? what does wealth mean to you? what makes you feel abundant, full, whole as whole, that you have everything you need & then some?

thursday is ruled by jupiter, who graces our lives with grace. i was talking to a friend yesterday who said she’s had no grace in her life for the past few years. i wanted to scream! yes, she had some huge health challenges, &, yes, one after the other, but she also had, imo, an inordinate amount of support—a friend even moved in with her!—& all of her health outcomes were good. where she saw no grace, i saw lots. grace comes in big & small ways. the more we perceive it, the more will come. do you see all the grace in your life?

& that’s your daily bliss! which is a sort of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss.
