it’s tuesday, november 4, & moon is in aries, in the starspace called aśvinī, but will be full overnight in bharaṇī, & i’m feeling full as full after being privileged to staff another awe-mazing, heat-opening, ego-surrendering path of love retreat.

full moon in aries, sign of our individuality, means sun is opposite in libra, sign of our relationships, where a powerful venus is also dwelling, also aspecting the moon. venus rules bharaṇī & libra, & libra represents the zodiacal heart chakra. so there is obviously A LOT of venusian, A LOT of heart energy at play today. but first …

… aśvinī is the first asterism of the first sign of the natural zodiac, where we begin again—begin a new project, begin to peel back another layer of our personality, our mask, so we can dwell in greater authenticity. twin horse gods infuse aśvinī with the power, the horsepower, to reach goals quickly, to explode with forward momentum like a horse out of a starting gate, to make decisions in the blink of an eye that will set momentous things in motion.

the word bharaṇī is derived from the sanskrit verb “to bear” (भृ) & this asterism is ruled by yama, who is the god of death but also of rebirth, for he guides, takes care of, souls about to be reborn. the shakti, or superpower, of bharaṇī is the ability to surrender, to let go of trying to control the flow & allow ourselves to be taken exactly where we need to go.

sun, who represents our ego, is debilitated, his light dimmed, is at his least powerful in libra. this is where he, & we, get our humility on, where we get to peel back layers of limiting beliefs about ourselves, ask ourselves who we really want to be, how we want to identify & be identified, let ourselves vulnerably reveal the truth of who we are, let our real-real be seen.

letting go of parts of ourselves, of our ego, isn’t easy. it comes with resistance, sometimes grief.

what do you always resist? what are you resisting now? what is burdening your heart?

can you offer it your compassionate presence? can you forgive yourself, & perhaps others?

my mantra while i was at the path of love was “stay open, be curious, respond.” it allowed my heart to (eventually!) crack open, allowed limiting beliefs to disintegrate. it set me free.

“let go of the idea that you can control the current of the river itself & instead be curious about where the river of your life is leading you.”—teal swan

wishing you a most blessed & transformative full moon!

& that’s your daily bliss! which is a sort of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss.
