it’s wednesday, august 13, & moon is in pisces, in the starspace called revatī. pisces is the last frontier, the great beyond, the sea of consciousness, the ineffable experiences that transcend material reality, the otherworldly rather than the worldly, & is represented by two fish swimming in opposite directions. do you ever feel like you are swimming in opposite directions—heading toward greater materiality or toward greater spirituality? the thing is that these two fish are actually tied or stuck together, reminding us that it’s not one or the other but both/&, that as spiritual beings cloaked as humans we get to straddle both worlds, invite & incorporate different perspectives so that we can become conscious masters of our life.

with saturn hanging out in pisces for the foreseeable future, our attention is being drawn to the seeming dichotomy of our existence. what house/area of life does pisces represent for you? what’s arising?
revatī is ruled by pushan, the cosmic shepherd, the protector of herds & paths, the one who leads beings home. as the last asterism of the last sign of the zodiac, he helps us complete our journey on earth. this asterism has the power of nourishment & pushan means “nourisher” or “wealthy.” he eases the journey, knows where there are secret stashes of fruit, where water flows, keeps the herd well-fed, feeling abundant, wealthy. it’s a good day to nourish, protect, guide, feel nourished, protected, guided.
it’s the fifth lunar day (tithi), the fifth phase of the waning moon, which also has a quality of abundance as it is abundant with creativity & sensitivity—alas, so much so that it can lead to dreaminess & thus indecisiveness. interestingly, revatī is related to the word “reverie” in english & “rêve” in french, both of which imply the wandering mind, dreaming, getting lost in other worlds, dimensions. focus, focus, focus. choose one dream & make it your goal.
wednesday is ruled by thinky-talky mercury, who is no longer retrograde—he started moving forward, in cancer, on monday. so it’s time to stop retreating & reflecting & to return to the world renewed & reinvigorated with heart lessons so we can use our words compassionately.
